The SoCal LGBTQIA+ Health Conference is a one-day event that brings together lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and allied health professional and undergraduate students to take part in dynamic conversations on healthcare’s most urgent issues, learn from healthcare leaders in the community, and engage in interactive workshops that will prepare them for the future of LGBTQIA-inclusive health care. This conference was created by a group of medical students across Southern California looking to bring attention to the health care needs of the LGBTQIA communities that they serve. Our mission is to educate, empower, and support all who advocate for the physical, emotional, and psychological wellness of LGBTQIA communities.
The eleventh annual SoCal LGBTQIA+ Health Conference will be held at the University of California, Los Angeles. It will be accessible to all attendees, regardless of location. We will discuss the health care needs of the LGBTQIA community and how healthcare providers, students, and allies can best support one another.
